Define your own beauty

Define your own beauty

Happy Valentine’s Day from OLO! While this holiday is generally focused outward on those we love, here at OLO, we’re concentrating inward. Why? The best way to love others is to love oneself. It’s not an easy concept, particularly for those of us in the beauty industry where the standards are high and the models are—otherworldly to say the least.

Your personal beauty ritual can help you learn to love yourself and define your own beauty. Set aside 10 minutes each day to cleanse, moisturize, and apply healthy, eco-friendly makeup. This simple act can boost your emotional wellbeing, happiness, and confidence. There are no quick fixes or miracle cures—for your skin or for your soul. It’s what you do each and every day that produces your desired outcome: A beautiful complexion and inner peace and acceptance.

Try to incorporate all your senses. Drink some soothing tea and enjoy healthy and delicious meals. Employ the power of aromatherapy and envelope yourself in calming scents like our signature pineapple citrus blend (which OLO fans refer to as “vacation in a bottle”). Meditate and build your confidence with positive affirmations. Take a page from OLO Founder Suzanne’s book: Sink into a warm bath and “cleanse and let go so you can beautifully grow.”

These ideas may sound simple or even self-indulgent, but trust us: Taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do for yourself and for those you love. Make time for you each and ever day and see the positive effects unfold.
